Please Note: As with any fine furniture, Reasonable Care is required to maintain the beauty of this feeder. Mahogany wood is very porous, which is why we go through a rigorous process to seal the wood. Each feeder receives 3 coats of water base poly and sealed shellac. This protects the wood from coming in direct contact with any food or water. However, it is recommended to wipe excess water and liquids after each meal to prevent water spots or possible stains.
